Lessons from a Scarlet Lady, by Emma Wildes

This was one of the two most recent books I'd picked up at Barnes & Noble, and it's actually quite a good read.  It's blunt and straight to the point, very much so.
The "fun stuff" begins immediately, on page 9, wasting no time with an already-married couple doing their thing...over...and over again and throughout the book.  There are pretty much no surprises.  The reason for this is because the wife (Brianna) has been trying to seduce her husband (Colton) as he hasn't properly made love to her.  She found some book, Lady Rothburg's Guide to...something or other, I can't remember the title offhand and I didn't write it down, that's essentially a courtesan's guide to seduction (like the Kama Sutra).  Each chapter of the book (the actual book, the one I'm reviewing) begins with some sort of relationship advice from Lady R.

There's a secondary plot I'm far more interested in, getting Robert (Colton's youngest brother) and Rebecca (Brianna's unmarried best friend) together, which is far more interesting than reading about a married couple who has trouble in the bedroom.  Rebecca, Brianna, and Arabella (already married) are a trio of friends so pretty much this is a matchmaking subplot for Rebecca.  And Damien (Colton's middle brother) is so helpful to Rebecca because he pretty much knows his shit (he's a former military spy, very observant).

This book is pretty cheesy, but I definitely would ask you guys to not pass it up.  It's...definitely about relationships and dealing with them, more than just romance and sex time.

Four stars.  It's that good.

In the meantime, I just started Jo Beverley's The Secret Wedding, and so far, I do NOT like it.  This one...will most likely get a horrible review.
